The 2019 Commemoration is a sub-agency of the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation, the lead State Agency planning the 2019 quadricentennial commemoration of the first representative legislative assembly; first Africans to arrive in British North America; arrival of women to build community; and the first thanksgiving. The vision of the commemoration is to leverage partnerships and launch a series of programs and events of national and international significance to build awareness of Virginia's role in the creation of the United States and position Virginia as a global leader in education, economic development and tourism.

Ms. Spangler will serve as the principal liaison to state appointed committees and will oversee the planning and execution of the Commemoration.

For 30 years have dedicated my life to understanding how children really learn and how the school works. I am deeply concerned that we are not teaching the child of today the intellectual skills and sense of social responsibility they will need in the artificial intelligence dominated world they must live and work in.

Through my work & research I offer a new way to understand intelligence, how it may be better developed in the child & a new method for teaching large classes of students. I have written books for teachers to improve student ability, how to correct dyslexia, how to deal with bullying and for headteachers how a new concept of school could be realized -- just as they offer help to parents to prepare their child for school and how to guide them through it.

I travel around the world to meet educators and parents in my continuing efforts to help all children live in a safer, happier and more stable world.
